PanAmSat 6B was manufactured by Hughes Space and Communications and launched on December 22 1998 from Guiana Space Center, Kourou ELA-2 on Ariane 42L H10-3 rocket by Arianespace. After the Intelsat/PanAmSat merger, it became Intelsat 6B.
