Telstar 5 was manufactured by Space Systems/Loral and launched on May 24 1997 from Baikonur Site 81/23 on Proton-K/DM-04 rocket by Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center. It was later renamed to Intelsat Galaxy 25.
